The Raw and the Real

First let me start with my passion for cars, if I see one and I can’t drive one — I definitely need to snapshot the moment.

The chrome kissed by the sun, this moonlight hitting that car paint just in the right spot — so you see the thousands of thousands molecules of the spray paint reflecting like little diamonds.

And I even didn’t start talking about the forms and curves yet. It’s like watching pretty girls walk you by. But I wouldn’t dare to creep up on them. With cars though, it’s different… I just have no boundaries.

I grew up on the countryside, were I developed a huge love for the 1989 Mitsubishi Pajero. Today, I would get any Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 or a 1992 Range Rover. Fiat 130 Familiare is also very hot. Look it up!

My deep passions for Detroit, the mothership of the American car industry, reflects my taste in music and in life. It’s deep, real and raw. So is my series MITTELKONSOLEN inspired by the work of Hans Peter Feldmann. (There also lies a little nostalgic ode to the times we listened to CD’s and cassettes in cars — this low-fi feeling. Cruising down-town and you feel just fine. It’s all about that sunshine.)
